Road Trip 01

Where to stay

Two or three practical choices at each overnight base, with location and EV convenience taking priority over chasing the cheapest room.

Day 1 · Overton / Moapa Valley

1 night · Best base for Valley of Fire sunset without driving onward late.

Plaza Motel

Simple local motel in Overton. Useful if the North Shore Inn is full or you want a basic one-night stop.

Holiday Inn Express Mesquite

Fallback option with more conventional chain-hotel facilities, but it adds driving and is less convenient for Valley of Fire.

Days 2–3 · Springdale / Zion

2 nights · Staying in Springdale lets you leave the Tesla parked and use the town/park shuttles.

Cable Mountain Lodge

Excellent location beside Zion Canyon Village and the pedestrian entrance. Ideal if shortest possible access to the park matters most.

Cliffrose Springdale

Resort-style option close to the pedestrian entrance, with landscaped grounds and an easy walk into Zion.

Days 4–5 · Bryce Canyon

2 nights · Two nights give you sunset, sunrise and a proper full park day.

Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel

Comfortable Bryce Canyon City base. The nearby Tesla Supercharger makes charging very easy.

Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn

Day 6 · Kanab

1 night · Central location before the US-89A / Vermilion Cliffs drive.

Parry Lodge

Historic downtown Kanab hotel with pool, restaurant and strong old-Hollywood character.

Canyons Boutique Hotel

Another central Canyons Collection option if you prefer a more hotel-like stay than the lodge.

Days 7–9 · Page

3 nights · Page becomes the base for Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell.

The Wesley

Small boutique hotel in the heart of Page with more character than a typical chain property.

Wingate by Wyndham Page Lake Powell

Practical modern option close to the scenic edge of town and convenient for Horseshoe Bend and Glen Canyon Dam.

Days 10–11 · Grand Canyon South Rim

2 nights · Staying inside the park gives the strongest experience; Tusayan gives easier Tesla fast charging.

Bright Angel Lodge

Also on the canyon edge, with several room types and multiple dining choices nearby.

Map / directions →

The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon

Tusayan option seven miles south of the rim. The Tesla Supercharger is on site, so it is the easiest choice for DC charging.

Day 12 · Flagstaff

1 night · A comfortable reset before Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona.

Country Inn & Suites Downtown Flagstaff

Good choice if walking to downtown restaurants and bars matters more than having charging at the hotel.

Map / directions →

Hotel Monte Vista

Historic downtown option with far more character, ideal if you want the Flagstaff night to feel different from the other hotel stops.

Map / directions →

Days 13–15 · Sedona

3 nights · Enough time to split the classic sights from the quieter western side of Sedona.

The Wilde Resort

West Sedona resort option, convenient for the Dry Creek and Boynton Canyon side of the trip.

Map / directions →

Sky Ranch Lodge

Airport Mesa location with elevated views. Good choice if sunsets and scenery at the hotel are a priority.

Booking approach: book the park-adjacent stays first: Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon. Page and Sedona are also worth securing early for busy periods. Hotel availability and rates will be checked against your actual travel dates once you choose them.
